The Bugler Group have committed to supporting more communities thrive through their sponsorship of £20,000 to local charity Watford Football Club’s Community Sports and Education Trust (Trust).

We have long been a part of the Watford FC family and during the pandemic that affiliation was reaffirmed further, donating to the Trust at a time when charities and those that use their services were challenged like never before. A year after our first show of support, we wanted to do more and have now committed to not only extending that partnership, but also increasing it, ultimately enabling the Trust to improve more lives.

This sponsorship is the latest in a long line of support to charities and worthwhile causes by The Bugler Group, delivered through our Bugler Foundation.

Chief Executive of The Bugler Group, Andy Bugler, said:

“The Bugler Group has been involved in Watford Football Club for many years, with our most recent support through funding the CSE Trust. By re-affirming and increasing our support this season, we know that this funding will continue to help the Trust deliver services which are of huge importance to the local community, such as the Man On event which I enjoyed seeing first hand.”

Community Director of the Trust, Rob Smith, said:

“From the first conversation we had, we could tell that The Bugler Group really do care for the communities they are helping to develop. On behalf of all at the Trust, and most importantly those that need and make use of our many services, thank you to The Bugler Group for their continued support. We are only able to continue our charitable aims through sponsorships such as this.”

As part of the sponsorship, Andy Bugler visited Meriden Community Centre and spoke with staff and participants at a Man On session. Man On is a mental wellbeing support session for men over the age of 18 years old and is one of the many programmes that the Trust delivers as part of their mission to make a positive difference for all through sport, physical activity, and learning.

Further to this, we are working with the Trust to deliver the ‘Community VIPs, sponsored by The Bugler Group’ – whereby nominated beneficiaries of the Trust’s work in the community will be donated tickets to a home Watford FC men’s 1st team matchday. Four tickets will be available for each home game.
