On Wednesday, 18th March, the Bugler Developments Team at our Family Welcome Centre project were pleased to welcome councillors from the London Borough of Havering for an update from site.
The Family Welcome Centre in Harold Hill will provide safe temporary accommodation for homeless Havering families, alongside onsite support aimed at helping residents access longer term housing, financial guidance, and other wellbeing services.
During the visit, councillors viewed the work to date as the building prepares to open its doors to local families later this summer.
Located in the heart of the town centre, the Family Welcome Centre marks the first phase of the Harold Hill Town Centre Masterplan vision, which aims to deliver modernised community spaces, homes for local people, improved public realm, and enhanced local services.
Jeremy Graham, Bugler Developments COO said, “It was good to be able to welcome councillors from the London Borough of Havering to see first-hand the progress on site as we approach completion of the Family Welcome Centre.
“We are proud to be delivering this flagship space for Havering, providing high quality homes for local families. We are looking forward to celebrating the completion later this year.”
Cllr Natasha Summers, Cabinet Lead for Housing Need, said, “Supporting homeless families is one of our highest priorities, and the Family Welcome Centre is a clear demonstration of our commitment to delivering the safe, stable accommodation our residents deserve.
“This new centre will not only provide a roof over families’ heads but will also offer the onsite support they need to rebuild stability and move towards longterm housing.
“Seeing the final works coming together shows the real progress we are making in delivering on our promise to protect and support Havering families when they need us most.”
