Vegetable Bed restoration at Woodlands Primary School

Sep 4, 2024

Across the 29th and 30th August 2024, Daniel Binder with the assistance of Florin Paius and Gary Thirkell (Landscape Operatives from the Customer Care Team) as well as Helena O’Keeffe (Social Value and Community Manager) and Lilly Eames (Work Experience Student) aided in restoring some vegetable beds in Woodlands Primary School, Borehamwood.

This vegetable bed restoration was timed to coincide with the return to school for Woodlands Primary School pupils, and builds on previous social value engagements with the school.

Helena O’Keeffe supported hosting a site safety talk with Christian Baxter (Technical Manager) for Key Stage 2 back in June 2023.

The beds were built to a suitable and robust standard for the school environment; and form part of our social value commitments for our Windsor Close project, where we are building 11 houses and 32 apartments for Clarion Housing.

We are looking forward to returning next year to see what the students have grown and to provide you all with an update.
