An update from site: Goldsmiths Arms (February 2023)
Goldsmiths Arms is our development of 65 apartments and commercial space for Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing.
This update from site comes from Paul Lloyd, Senior Site Manager.
“Goldsmiths Arms is a six storey block comprised of both RC Frame and traditional build. We are progressing well; on the RC half of the building, the brickwork is complete up to the second floor with all internal black walls progressed up to the 5th floor.
The traditional side is about to have the 4th floor precast floors and 3rd floor trusses installed, waterproofing is underway across lower roofs and terraces as the building goes up. Windows are in the process of being fitted along with dry lining 1st fix well underway and 1st fix M&E starting this week.
Goldsmith’s is a logistically demanding, detail heavy project. Given the challenges, all of our subcontractors are performing well with no issues being raised across the board since we started, despite the heavy inspection regime from the likes of Premier special projects. The site team was pleased to have been recognised by the Premier Excellence Awards in January, awarded for the quality on-site. As such, Goldsmiths Arms will now qualify for the annual Excellence Awards which take place later this year.”
